Making Valentines 2011

Soap Valentines

-Melt glycerin soap brick/bar (buy at craft store) in the microwave.
-Can add oil scent, food coloring, glitter
-Add bugs, rings, anything small.
-Put in mold (ice cube tray)See More

Josiah wanted to know if it was going to be REAL soap... like to wash with!?!

He did finally get to make one... but I didn't get pictures of him doing it. I'll take pictures of him when he gets to make his Valentine soap.

Jeremiah picked up a block of soap and tried to poke a lizard into it! He really wanted a turn.

Messenger bag

After the apron I was on a sewing kick! I decided to make my mom a messenger bag to carry her kindle. I wanted something cute-sy, but fit my mom's personality. So I made up this little bag for her. Can't wait to send it to her! Stayed up till 3 am to finish it up, can't believe I was able to put it together in the right order at that time.

A ruffle for some cuteness! magnetic closures to keep it shut!

For some reason the boys just love to cuddle in our bed...they must get that from their daddy!

Garrett spent the night with us. The boys cuddled and watched a show before going to bed.

Apron Kit

I saw this adorable apron kit at Wal Mart and Joey bought it for me.

It was super fun and easy - cut all the pieces out and sew them together! I think this may have started something for me...

Apron Make-Over

Jaime gave me this apron because she didn't like it and it was a gift to her.

I wouldn't wear it because of the wine glasses.

So I decided to replace the pocket with something that was a little more "me"

It was cute, but I decided it needed a little something more! Added a ruffle, replaced the waist strings, and made some flowers.

I've always wondered how to make the cute little fabric flowers, so I decided to experiment and figure it out. I had a lot of fun with this little apron :)
