We had such a good time. Friday while the girls were at school and Josiah napped at Granny's we went to Tulsa to do a little shopping. Shantyl really wanted to go to Gordman's to find some new outfits (she was very successful!), mom wanted to go to Hobby Lobby, and I needed to go to Babies 'R Us. It was fun to go out together again... especially when mom tried on her "life preserver!" Haha... I thought I found mom a cute orange vest, but once she put it on it reminded me so much of those old orange life jackets. Shantyl and I had a good laugh! Mom thought we were being mean, but it wouldn't have mattered who tried it on - it was too funny!
After our shopping excursion we came home to cook dinner. I taught Shantyl how to make Parmesan chicken, ranch potato skins, and fried green beans. She did an awesome job and it was delicious! Grammy helped Makayla with her loom (a special gift for being so good all week!). Then Grammy and Aunt Shantyl helped the kids make rice Krispie treats.
Saturday we had a little Valentine party and finished up some of the things that we had wanted to do or hadn't finished up. I taught Shantyl how to make a beef pasta casserole dish - which was yummy (actually I just finished the leftovers for my lunch!). Grammy cooked me 2 hams! Yummy. Then it was time for them to leave... it was such a wonderful time having us all together again. I really hope that they can come again, really soon!
